Psalms 40:1 – I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
Our faith isn’t shown in us simply waiting. procrastinators wait, the lazy way, those who rely on the balancing of life, this law of averages, wait. No, the faith of the faithful is shown in how we wait. That, after we’ve done all that we can do, offering prayer and doing the necessary work, we now stand still and allow the Lord to fulfill his promise in our life. And, even while we might see others who are in the very place as we desire to be, faith tells us to humbly focus on our own journey, not allowing Satan to use our want to spark the flames of jealousy, envy and doubt. It’s often tough to wait; but, waiting with patience is a necessary element in the growth of disciples. Wait faithfully.
