Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Maybe it’ll happen today. Perhaps we’ll realize that this won’t work out the way we’ve planned it. Maybe we’ll no Longer need the constant reminder from friends that what we’re going through is indeed the Lord working and finally go from the constant response of “i know” and “you’re right” to actually leaning on The Lord. Perhaps we’ll see how we aren’t supposed to understand everything; that, trying to figure it out is what’s keeping us from moving forward; that, the only question we really need ask before stepping out of the ship and onto the water is, “is this you, Lord?” Our own understanding can take us to a lot of places; the Lord won’t be in any of them. Maybe today we learn to simply trust his word; He’s never let us down. He can do more than we are capable of imagining.
