I Corinthians 13:2-3 – And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
In this life, We’ll find that we can do any number of mighty and impactful things, yet, without love, still feel empty. Love is the power to bring purpose to the skills and talents we possess. Love ennobles the what we do with the why. Without love, we are incomplete. And, while there are many who search fervently for something to fill the void, There is no suitable substitute for love, the Lord assuring this in sacrificing himself on the cross. Love makes us whole; it completes us; love makes us perfect.
