Acts 2:36 – Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Meditation – There’s so much talk about the blessings the Lord has for us; not enough about the work he requires. Everyone wants a savior, a granter of blessings, a fixer; very few want a Lord. Unless we accept the duality of Jesus as Ruler AND redeemer, we essentially place him in the role of our servant. He isn’t a genie or caped crusader. He came to save us from our sins; he came to redeem and bring a new hope. Lord AND Christ. Can’t have one without the other. Can’t just desire his blessings and ignore his rule. altruism over hedonism. Who is Jesus to you?
